TLDR; highlights -- - efficient service - buzzy atmosphere - seasonal menu - seafood mushrooms - garlic pork belly wow, wow, WOW! This was my first korean bbq and hot pot experience, and let me say.. K-town is *so* approachable. Between the never-ending list of menu items and variety of sides and sauces K Town offers, I have never been more thankful for a serving staff that knows the answer to all of my silly questions because I. knew. nothing. With such a loud and buzzy atmosphere, I was incredibly thankful for the patience and kindness our server extended as I asked far too many questions about what we were getting into. He showed us how to use the grills, what not to touch (to my fellow clumsy friends, please pay attention to this part), and what we had access to based on our menu choices. I was so shocked to find out their menu is seasonal, and while most of the meats don't change, some sides and sauces will! My favorite seasonal side is the seafood mushrooms on the winter menu -- they are very similar in taste and texture to the enoki mushrooms that were viral on tiktok a few years ago. They soak up every ounce of flavor from your hot pot broth and become almost meat-like in texture -- nothing like the mushy portobello mushrooms that are known (and often hated) in american dishes. Out of everything offered, the garlic pork belly will be to blame for my return! It's a great meat to start with as the fat will grease your grill and make the rest of the meats easier to cook. Being able to decide how crispy I'd like my pork belly (and being given permission to burn it a little) was definitely a highlight for me. The thick cuts made it easy to share a single portion and every bite was full of flavor -- you truly can't go wrong in choosing the garlic pork belly. I'm genuinely excited to return here again in the winter! If you see a short lady with a plate full of mushrooms and pork belly, come say hi to me
Service was attentive and helpful. There was a lot of food and so many choices! Left having eaten more than I should: the pork belly and beef bulgogi were the most popular but spam and ribeye were close seconds. Pricey but you get what you pay for-mmmm!
I have been to so many korean restaurants. Some are buffet and others are by menu. This one is just the best. For above average price, you can get as many dish as you can. This restaurant is buffet and it really is a buffet. Like they have a long table with korean side dishes in display. With kimchi and chili sauce and many more. Some restaurant are you can eat but you can only select items on the menu at a time. This one is really a buffet. And they really tastes good. I will definitely come back here. I hope they will open a place like this in chicago.
Such a fun experience! A group of four of us came on a Sunday evening around 7:30. We had a short 5 minute wait before being seated. Our server explained how the process worked and answered all of our questions with a smile. We decided on the bbq & hotpot. Half the fun was choosing between the many options of meat and seafood! When all the food got to the table it was overwhelming in the best way possible. We all left completely stuffed and satisfied with plenty of stories to tell LoL! Great place for groups and I would highly recommended for a date night. K-Town owes us nothing! We'll definitely be back.
this is the best food I have ever had costumer service is great and nice love the place
Wow oh wow! I was fully blown away by my experience at K-Town. We went and got unlimited bbq and hot pot. It was such a simple process, we grabbed some food and cooked it! Our server was awesome, he came by and checked in multiple times. It was a little loud inside but mainly because it was busy. We'll be back
Man, every time I think my experience here can't be topped, it gets topped. I can't recommend this establishment enough. It's the only K-town in Indiana you should be visiting! The service is always quick and accommodating. All of our servers have always been friendly and super attentive. They stand nearby to help you when you need to order more. They have a great team of people working there and added bonus; the food is always hitting. The boba tea is perfectly sweet and never watered down. Plus they have a cute robot cat that delivers it to you. They must follow some kind of seasoning instruction, bc their meats are always yummy. The spicy bulgogi is my favorite, and they have a few different pork belly's. I'm from California and have had a hard time finding really good places to eat here in Indiana. But this place (at this specific location, Greenwood one isn't as good) never disappoints. My experience today was especially great. We were seated, and we had a party of 9 (5 adults, 4 kids) and the front person sat us at a table with one grill. But when our server came, he asked if we wanted to be moved to another bigger table that had two grills. That was so thoughtful of him! We all fit comfortably around the table, and were able to be twice as fast with our all you can eat bbq. As a new mom, I've found not many establishments want to accommodate large families. And sometimes even get pissy about it. But this guy smiled, said no problem, and it was his idea to begin with. I wish I got his name so his boss could give him a bonus. I hope in this life we experience more people like him. And when I was leaving I apologized for the mess my kids left and another guy said no problem WITH a smile. Incredible staff, truly. It's hard to get that kind of customer service now days. You NEED to check it out if you haven't. Good for the soul to eat yummy food and be treated nice. Thanks K-town See you soon !
Visited K Town for lunch on Sunday which only confirmed my love for KBBQ. Make sure you come here on an empty stomach and your stretchy pants because they offer all you can eat The decor and ambiance of the restaurant is so clean, modern, and cute. I recall the last time I visited there was a long wait (approx 1 hour), but this time we were seated right away and a server came by quickly to get our drink and food orders. Note that everyone at the table has to get the same thing (either all Hot Pot, all KBBQ, or all get both). The KBBQ is unbeatable for the quality and price. While the kitchen prepares your selections, you go to the sauce station to create your dipping sauce and get your sides. I like that they added sauce combination suggestions on the wall if you're not sure where to start. For meats, the Smoke Garlic Pork Belly and Cajun Chicken were our favorite. Both of them had amazing flavor. Our server was quick to change out the grill plates, refill our waters, and put in another order of meat. Even when we thought we couldn't possibly eat any more, our server mentioned that they had free cups of ice cream in the chest nearby (vanilla, chocolate, or strawberry). Overall would recommend this place to anyone and can't wait for my next visit!
Wow, wow, and wow! Just loving this place more each time I go! The meat specifically the ribeye was just perfect! Just lovely! We did hotpot and grill. The grill was my favorite with a side of white rice and veggies! I was able to make my own sauce combo which was just unique and fit my taste buds! The meat came out rather quickly from when we sat down and was able begin cooking! I ordered a strawberry lemonade boba and it was so sweet and yummy! The ambiance was everything I wanted hotpot to be! Had music going, Korean pop culture around which was really nice! Overall a winner
We've been to Ktown about 4 times now, and the food and service have always been on point. You can choose between hot pot, bbq, or both; the difference is a few extra dollars per person that makes it quite worth it, in my opinion. Everyone at the table must choose the same option. My favorite hot pot add-ins are the gyoza, shrimp shumai, pork belly, noodle balls, and rotating mushrooms they have available at the self-serve portion of the restaurant. For bbq, I'd recommend any of the bulgogi options (spicy isn't very spicy, but still delicious), garlic shrimp, and Hawaiian chicken. Don't forget to make a dipping sauce and grab your ice cream out of the cooler. They don't take reservations Friday-Sunday, so come during an off hour (we like to skip lunch and do an early dinner) or be prepared to wait a bit. You get 2 hours to fill up!
